The Falmouth Genealogical Society

The Falmouth Genealogical Society was founded in 1985 to promote an interest in genealogy and family history and to provide local genealogists an opportunity to participate in educational programs and the sharing of research results and challenges. 

We meet the second Saturday of each month at the Falmouth Public Library from 9:30am to 11:30am..

Falmouth Public Library Main Street, Falmouth on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 4.
Church of the Latter Day Saints
on Old County Road in Cataumet, Family History Center on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 4.

Our Mission

bulletTo encourage and instruct members, and others, in the performance of genealogical research and promote the maintenance of quality standards and documentation.
bulletTo help preserve public and private records and artifacts, and work to ensure their accessibility for historical and genealogical purposes.
bulletTo contribute records, as appropriate, to libraries, historical societies, and genealogical societies.
bulletTo publish genealogical and historical information in a regularly issued newsletter and in any other publications directed by the membership.
