Cemetery Transcription Project

Mission: Research and publish reliable information about the burials and gravestones in cemeteries of Falmouth, MA, for the benefit of genealogical and historical research.

In the summer of 2001, the Falmouth Genealogical Society (FGS) committed to "read" the sixteen cemeteries in the Town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. There are two additional burying grounds in Falmouth with no grave markers, the Old Friends Burying Ground and the Indian Burying Ground. For more information please follow the link below.

Volunteers are needed to assist with this project:

Entering data into EXCEL Spreadsheets
Photography of the Headstone and Footstones
Writing down all the information on each gravestone, all sides

Volunteers are needed to assist with this project. The work can be done at home using Microsoft EXCEL.
